Dr. Daniel Couture is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine/Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Couture went to the University of Virginia for both his undergraduate and medical school degrees. He completed his Neurosurgery residency at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and then completed a Pediatric Neurological Surgery fellowship at the University of Utah School of Medicine/Primary Children’s Medical Center. He also is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Amongst his clinical and research interests are the treatment of pediatric and adult neurologic trauma. He is currently the Director of Neurosurgical Trauma at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Couture has authored over 45 published articles, 4 book chapters, and has given numerous presentations at regional, national and international meetings. He has been the Principal Investigator (PI) or co-PI on numerous research grants.
Dr. John A. Wilson is the David L. and Sally Kelly Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine/Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He is also the current President of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Wilson received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center and competed a Spine Stabilization Fellowship at the Paracelsus Clinic in Osnabruck, Germany. His clinical interests include the areas of neuro-vascular, skull base, and spine surgeries. His research interests include neuro-vascular and spine related projects. He is a member and has been an officer in many state, regional, and national neurosurgery organizations. He has authored over 50 published articles, 3 book chapters and has given over 100 presentations.
